Carrie’s plays have been published by Playscripts, Inc. and Stage Partners, and have been performed all over the country. Her one-act farce, All in Favor; a Meeting of the Beulah North Dakota Town Council, ran at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York in 2017. Carrie also authored her solo show, MILP: Moms I’d Like to Portray, which ran at UCB in 2016. Her ten-minute play “I Do. You Die.” has received productions all over the US and in Canada, Peru and France.

Carrie and her husband, Ian McWethy, have sold multiple feature length screenplays to Lifetime Television/Reel One Ent. Their debut novel, Margot Mertz Takes it Down was published in the US in 2021. (With foreign rights sold to France, Brazil, Australia/New Zealand, S. Korea, and Russia.)

Carrie’s pilot script Co-Op was selected as the Original Comedy Division Winner of the 2019 Cinestory TV Fellowship Competition. Before that, she was a finalist for the 2017 Made in NY: Writers Room Fellowship, sponsored by the WGA East with her pilot, Subscribe Now. That script was also a finalist for Nantucket Film Festival’s Tony Cox Award (30-min episodic,) and a semi-finalist for the Series Fest Storytellers Initiative half-hour episodic, as well as a semi-finalist for the Nantucket Writers Colony and the 2018 Fox Writers Lab.

As a freelance writer/producer, Carrie has created web videos for NickMom.com and iVillage.com. Her webseries Do This Now, has been featured multiple times on Funny or Die. Carrie’s short film, For Maya, co-written with Kassia Miller and directed by Alex Fischer, was an official selection of the 2016 HollyShorts Film Festival, the 2016 Nitehawk Shorts Fest, the 2016 Brooklyn Comedy Shorts Festival and the High Falls Film Festival, as well as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
